Moving Pictures - Covering Barack Obama's Speech

Covering the President's first address to a Joint Session of Congress is a big deal, and the photographers who are tasked with that responsibility are among the very best around.

Photographers Doug Mills of the New York Times, H. Darr Beiser of USA Today, and Pablo Martinez Monsivais of the Associated Presss (as interviewed by AP photographer Evan Vucci) take a few minutes to talk about their coverage after their pictures have moved to their outlets.

I like that you added some pictures to go along with the interviews. I like to hear the set-ups and how they prepare for the evening. Good Stuff John!!

HI John. Thanks for this neat video. I'd love to see a video or demo regarding the CradlePoint system that Doug was using to ftp back to the paper in real time. Thanks again!

My God man; you would put covering that first address above doing pictures of your kid's first potty training?

You folks need to get a life and keep things in perspective.

I hope the Secret Service was able to clear those massive egos before all of the air left the room.

Brilliant, thank you. I saw Pablo on the floor as Obama walked in. It looked like he was only getting shots of the president's back as he greeted lawmakers. I would like to know more about how he is able to get good shots in such a situation.
